Peace in our lives

We have prayed for peace to come and it is finished. But are we really done?  Don't we have done responsibility to live peace in our own lives?  Doesn't that lead us into a difficult path?

Peace in our lives means our idea of love is challenged, expanded beyond our imaginings. It means our idea of forgiveness runs deeper than we usually deign it to be handed out. It means we live deeper, struggle harder, walk the rocky path.

Because there are those who don't want peace to come. Because we always like to control how forgiveness is given, who is correct to love, and we are attacked for believing in this wild possibility which is a part of God's kingdom.

We just expect it to magically appear without cultivating the work ourselves. Yet, oh, how we need to work!
