Good bye

The day before we left South Sudan I wrote this.  Now as team 2 starts to think of leaving tomorrow it is appropriate again.

My heart is heavy as I leave this land.
Not just the land, but the people who have taught me so much.
About life, about the gospel, about joy
Some things have been hard to encounter
Others are the blessings of this life
True joy expressed in song, in shared laughter, in touch
A touch so strong and important
The coming together of hands
and in that strength the pull into each others lives.
My look at loves door has changed me
I hope opened me to more of the holy
The sacred running us together in the song of life.
