Wild Heart

The wild heart takes the chance,
Stands alone when all else is lost,
Comes and goes in times of need.

The wild heart sees another way,
Looks for what is lost, not seen,
Tries again and again even alone.

The wild heart dares to love,
Openly, broadly, hoping it will
Be returned and found by others.

The wild heart beats with concern,
For this world and the next, knowing
It is connected to something greater.

The wild heart tries to show this
To others on this journey and never
Gives up being tamed in spite of all.
