Search for light

It has been a long road
  and still we have not found it.
It has been one hardship
  after another, sand, winds, rain,
And then the charts, all
  in trying to locate the direction.
When it is clear we have
  the star which brightens our
Hearts. When it has stormed
  we have wondered if all is lost.
Yet find it we must, even if
  it takes most of our lives.
Because it's shining grace tells
  us to expect more, to always
Search for the light in our world,
  in our hearts because we know
The journey will be well worth
  the promise of love born
Into a hurting world, which has
  somehow lost those who look
For the light and, instead only see
  the glow of fear in this day.
