Abundance

We live in a world of not enough
Too soon it is gone, but there is
Another, something new to take
Its place, the newest and best.
Yet there are things which are
Enough, the light on the wind
The leaves color, the snow glittering
Against the rising sun. And
We can't get them back, they
Are gone if not noticed and destroyed
If we never note or care because
We consume what is not renewable.
We think we will not miss it, or
It will come back, but it will be
Gone and no one will know it was
There.
