Reading the words of old songs,
  they have so much to say.
Even today they ring the glad
  sound, proclaim release,
Say there is healing in the midst
  of hurt, lift us up in hard
Times, they don't let go of hope.
  because hope is written into
The good news of what is to be,
  what we can become if we
Just dare to try, if we just decide
  to live fully as if it mattered
So raise the glad strain, sing of
  peace and goodwill, and
Don't be fooled that its not ours
  to do the work and bring it
