Blessing

We are filled with cursing one for another
  yet even David, when Saul hunted to harm
Spared Saul because he believed in God
  in loving what had once been ordained
In waiting for God's time and not his own
  what does love cost instead of hateful words
Do we lose ourselves in self-righteousness
  are we waiting and loving and blessing
Instead of cursing, yes we stand for what
  is just and Godly in our corners just as
David stands in the cave, in the dark as
  Saul is vulnerable, so David shows the
Blessing of being beloved, each one of us
  can we show this to one another
Bless to be a blessing, remember our
  humanity and see the face of God
In each other instead of empty ideals
  which only pit us in saying unloving
