Approach

They came,
  shepherds
     just as they were
Unkempt
  rugged, dirty
     with their flock
Immediately
  no time to get
     ready or clean

They came,
  from afar
     studying charts
The sky
  their map
      prepared
With gifts
  to honor
     this new promise

We come,
  as we are
     prepared or
Not, to this
  place in order
      to worship
We come,
  having studied
