Lay

Two lie in the doorways
  of the corner store
Only one donut, one gift
  it is not enough
Two bags and blankets
  camped on the verge
Of the beauty in the park
  alone with only the
Concrete as a pillow
  and the neighbors pass by
Pass round on the other side
  accusing, pointing, saying
Work, provide for yourself
  get your act together
We did not get this picture
  from the Samaritan
As we pass by closed doors
  empty homes for sale
Abandon buildings to be torn down
  and all around the streets
Are littered with people
  sleeping, keeping all they have
On the move, just looking
  for one, one Good Samaritan
