Servant

To be the greatest you must be the servant of all

Is there anyone out there willing to surrender 

Willing to give of themselves and serve the people

On the margins, on the streets, in the alleyways

Do we just yell and blame and leave them stranded

Ignoring the stranger, the widow, the orphan

Are we headed for our own Babylon when we don't

Speak up, point out, see others and try to live as Christ

Where are our Christian teachings the ones that 

Show time and again we have to suffer and die to self

See others, serve them and there is no easy road

It all leads to Egypt when we don't, our own chains made

Because we have forgotten love died first
