The sign says Christians should be righteous
What abou Christ like as in Paul, or bearing each
Other up on love, or the greatest of these is love
Righteous leaves too much to the imagination
The door is open to tear down others who don't
Measure up to your version of righteousness
Was that Christ?
Remember Jesus' harshest criticism was to those
Who thought they were righteous, who wouldn't mix
With the sinners, the sick, the tax collectors
The lepers, the lame, the hungry in the fields and hillside
Yet this was where Jesus trod, showing Gods love
To those who were the least and showing us where
We should be living outside our walls of righteousness
