Despised,
not listened to,
jealous religious leaders,
Who thought they only knew the law
Betrayed,
by his own,
left alone,
to bear the cross and shame
Loved,
by the silent women
his mother watching too
to stand a silent witness
Scarred,
a reminder of the pain
not taken away or erased
meant to be a reminder to us
Listen,
can you hear it again
we only heed our own way
we nail him again to the tree
