Scattered

Is there not some reassuring message scattered in this dark night?
Some key of hope still lingering in the air after the Angels are gone?
Where did you go off into this sky, only hiding in dark corners afraid
We travel in the places if life and death, no soldier am I
Why me, with such weak protection? How can we hide from power?
Yet we go surrounded by strangers and those we do not know
Flying, hoping for rest and safety, time to make a way where fear is not
Oh skies keep us safe, we are dwarfed by your enormity and saddened
To live in a strange land with strange food, no practice or tradition ours
Yet this is our refuge, amongst the scattered people of the world
Making journies for safety through the dangers of the world
Praying for rest, hoping for the remnant of safety, while power fights
