Waiting, waiting still and no one speaks to you
They swirl around avoiding you like this is something
They can catch and the system blames you in that
Silent act of condemnation even though there was nothing
You could have done except die and it brings to light
Again are women expendable? Are we not if worth?
Victim blaming doesn't help matters, no advocate
Speaks volumes of rejection, no recourse,
Directions ignored, you don't matter and yet don't
We claim the dignity of every human, not just men?
When will we believe the hurt done to community
When we foster inaction, inattention, uncaring
Our cry goes up how long, how long will our bodies
Be sacrificed because we don't matter even
Though God, Jesus even says that we do?
