Wide Open

If I say to you to walk in love, don't I have to live that?
Open wide the door for others, because we cannot know
The story that brought them here, because we don't know
The things they have lived through, because we can't see
Their hearts and minds to stand in the violent throne of
Judgment and rejection, we have to stand with hearts
Wide open, ready to give a haven of rest, ready to
Listen with true understanding, ready for others to be
Insulted by our openness and not be afraid to truly live
God's love to the world, to be that example means ridicule
But is that not what we have been told and is it really
Our problem to fix others fears, or is it our goal to be
The sanctuary we are called to be for a hurting world?
