Prayer

"I'm praying for you" seems like such a cheap phrase
Its not said without wanting to be able to do more,
Its not said as a band aid for all the problems
It is said with sincere concern and a deep desire
To want to be able to do more and yet there are
Not the resources at my fingertips to do so,
So we pray, offering up our hearts, letting
All the concerns and troubled rise to God's
Ear and let them go to hope in a kingdom
Where people won't be hungry, where we will
Know true peace, where we won't be cold and
Snowed in, where we will see God's mercy
In full bloom and a prayer is just a blink
