Glitter

They shine, hundreds of thousands in points of dazzling light
Revealed by the bright sun, a fresh mantle laid over the ground
Like a blanket cover with all it's gems dazzling the day, each one
A treasure in light, deceiving in it's beauty as it binds us to the warmth
Of inside, just observers of it celestial beauty, trapped in cold
Tendrils enhanced by the warmth of a shining sun, which only
Warms the soul and not the outer body, richness displayed on
The ground a folly we cannot keep because eventually it
Will all melt away into the thirst for life of spring, but today I am
Content to be dazzlers and lulled by it's beauty, a time of rest
