The day starts bringing the awaited beauty of waking,
Rising in colors deep and hued. Concern and worry
With angry clouds standing on the horizon.
When, when will come the day? When will we
Hear the answer our hearts and minds long for?
When will the tension break and snap into focus
What is important, what is left behind amidst
All the waiting questions? We let our hope rest
In the answer, knowing it may not hold the prayed
For balm, but knowing we may start healing at
The point of answer. May we go forward never
Forgetting and building stronger communities
And a different justice that might rest mire on truth
And less on worldly ideas of justice because
That is hard work, it is kingdom work.
