Broken

My heart has broken on there wave of love,
Broken wide open to new life within,
Broken by the call of others who are broken too,
Broken with possibility of a new day,
Broken because things don't always work out,
Broken by the scars of something hard,
Broken because realizing you are
Does not mean you are not able to heal
Broken because it takes that to come before God
Realizing its not your own power
But the birth of something out of the seed
Of pieces, shards of strength because you
Know your weakness in being broken
Just like bread, for the nourishment of the soul
